Sydney Airport has partnered with Medical Travel Companions (MTC) to offer a new service that provides extra assistance to cater for a wide variety of needs, allowing passengers to relax and enjoy their travel experience.

MTC’s professional travel companions provide assistance to passengers including families with young children, people with disabilities, elderly travellers and passengers recovering from injury or surgery, among others.

Assistance can be provided across the entire airport journey with the service tailored to cater for individual needs.

Sydney Airport CEO Geoff Culbert said the partnership was part of the airport’s broader efforts to continue improving accessibility and provide a comfortable and convenient experience for all passengers.

“Air travel should be a magical experience and services such as this help ensure it’s as relaxing and enjoyable as possible for everyone,” he said.

“We’re committed to meeting the needs of all our passengers and taking the stress out of travel.

“We continue to work hard to improve the experience of everyone who travels through our terminals, including through our partnership with Medical Travel Companions.”

Medical Travel Companions Co-Founder and CEO Ben Wilson said: “Sydney is the busiest airport in Australia and the gateway to one of the best cities in the world – and we now offer customers a personalised experience, from when they arrive at their gate through to when they check in at their hotel in the city or step aboard their harbour cruise.”

Passengers seeking assistance can book their travel companion online.
