Sydney Airport welcomes Malindo Air with new daily service

Sydney Airport has welcomed Malindo Air to its international network, introducing a new Sydney to Kuala Lumpur via Denpasar route, enhancing choice and flexibility for customers and boosting tourism.

The new daily service bolsters Sydney Airport’s expansive Asian network of over 30 destinations, providing travellers with the ability to combine business and leisure across two of the most popular regional hubs.

“We’re thrilled to welcome Malindo Air to Sydney Airport, further growing our Asian network and providing customers with more options when travelling to and from Asia,” Sydney Airport CEO Geoff Culbert said.

“Bali has long been the most popular destination for Australian leisure travellers and the new service provides a great stop-over destination for travellers on the way to Kuala Lumpur.

“The new service is also a boost for tourism increasing capacity by over 120,000 seats per year, and we look forward to working with the team at Malindo Air and Malaysian and Indonesian tourism bodies to promote this dynamic city of ours to the world.”

The service will operate on a Boeing 737-800 next generation aircraft with a configuration of 12 Business and 152 Economy Class seats.

OD172 – Departs Sydney 12.00 daily, arrives Denpasar at 16.50 the same day, Departs Denpasar 18.00 and arrives in Kuala Lumpur at 21.10

OD171 – Departs Kuala Lumpur 18.25 daily, arrives Denpasar at 21.35 the same day, Departs Denpasar 22.35 and arrives in Sydney at 06.40
